Default From ESPN.com

From Peter Gammons's column on ESPN.com--

Loose change
Three things to buy with leftover Christmas cash:

Lee Sinins' Sabermetric Baseball Encyclopedia. Check the Baseball Immortals Web site, order the Encyclopedia and get on the mailing list, because your mind will be stretched daily.

Holy Shit, what an endorsement! Well, then again, I wonder what the other two are.

It is wonderful to see great things happen to people who deserve it - - and, you do deserve it! Very impressive.

Probably another reason for the increased traffic here - - - so, thank you too!!!!!

Steve's referring to the fact that I placed a link to this forum on the menu bar of all the pages at Baseball Immortals. I will be very happy if my success also helps the success of these boards.

Talking With endorsements like that the Disc will be flying!

I hope all your customers will not need step by step instruction on how to use their CD-Rom. Thanks Lee!

rza93, welcome aboard!
ESPN ran a couple of articles on the book last month. I think Neyer suggested using it more as a reference instead of a cover-to-cover read. I'm doing the cover-to-cover bit presently, and it's mostly very enjoyable. Typical Bill James writing style and interesting tidbits that he himself said are meant to help the reader visualize the game and the players as they were - the man behind the baseball player, if you will.
Definitely a must-have for your baseball library...
