It's Beginning To Become That Time

This is a true story.

Because it's winter, and the trees are bare, when I look out the back windows of my home, on the 2nd floor, I can see the street that is behind my house. (It's the street that my neighbor directly behind my backyard lives on.)

Today, when I looked out the window (and through the trees) at the street, I saw a young boy - I would guess about 15-years old - wearing a catcher's mask and mitt, squatting, and catching pitches from someone (wearing a fielder's mitt) that was about 50 feet away. I did not have as good a view on the 'pitcher' - but, I would guess that he was older - - possibly even in his thirties. Perhaps it was the 'catcher's' Dad?

Now, here's the shocker - - - it was 7:30 AM when I saw this. And, this morning, it was 22 degrees out!

Ah, baseball. It's beginning to become that time again.......

The kid you saw is the opening day pitcher for the Reds.
