Default Versatile Manager

What ML manager played every position including DH, but not
pitcher in his playing career?

Bell only played 136 games in the OF in his career. Did he play all 3 OF spots? If he did play CF that could not have been pretty, as Bell was never fleet of foot.

I don't know if Buddy played CF, if he did he fit the bill.
But he not the guy I was thinking of, my guy did play all
three OF positions.

Bell played 11 games in LF, 64(!) in CF, and 66 in RF. All but one CF and one RF appearance was in his rookie year. Some guy named Graig Nettles was at 3B when he was there, he's said to have been pretty good.

Yep, it's Bobby Valentine.
I also just noticed that Buddy Bell never caught...that's a problem for this question.

Yeah, I noticed that also but figured I'd see how long before someone else noticed.

Yep, Bobby V seems right. He even played for the Mets a few times.
