Question Jason Kendall

Is he over-rated?

I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

Have you read The Baseball Same Game?

Overrated is a funny word. You can never be quite sure what it means. My guess is he is not overrated, but many feel he is overvalued (i.e. being paid more than he is worth). I should note that Kendall and Posada are only separated by 2 RCAA for their careers. I haven't been able to observe Kendall since he plays in the midnight that is Pittsburgh, but I have always thought well of Posada.

Their skills are so different - for two guys that get on base a lot.
Kendall slugs like a girl but hits for average and walks (and runs).
Posada slugs, walks, but doesn't really hit for average.

It would be interesting to compare the two when their careers are over.
