The thing you are looking for is hardly unique to these guys so it could be argued that there are numerous things they have in common.

Anyway, they all homered in their last big league at bat.

That's what I was looking for. Of course there are other's on the list but these are most of the well known recent ones. Zeile joined the list in his last at bat this season (which he announced would be his last). In contrast Edgar Martinez hit into a double play in his last at bat.

Hit a homer in the last at bat of their carrers. Incredible for Tim Stoddard.

In a very surprising statistically oddity of the 41 players to homer in their last at bat, for 10 of them, including Stoddard, it was the only HR of their career.
