Can anyone name 5 great - or very, very, good - players to have worn the #28 in their career?

I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller! Have you read The Baseball Same Game? |

The following HoF players wore #28: Nellie Fox, Waite Hoyt, Joe Medwick, Gaylord Perry, Al Simmons, Duke Snider, and Bill Williams.
None of these guys had it with their prime years. It was a number they got when they first came up (Fox, Medwick, Perry), with another team late in their careers (Hoyt, Snider, and Williams), or when they returned to their primary team in the twilight of their careers (Simmons). Bucky Harris wore the number, but as a manager only.
