1975 Draft
A few questions about the 1975 Summer Draft, one of the worst ever in my opinion.
Who became the first player to be drafted #1 in two different drafts? Who was the first player drafted to get MLB playing time, and in what position was he drafted? (Hint, not the top five) Who was the best player drafted, and in what round? Who was the best pitcher drafted, and in what round? I realize these last two questions are something of a judgment call, but I feel justified in these judgments. |

(Hint, not the top five) Rick Cerone - 7 Who was the best player drafted, and in what round? Andre Dawson - 11 Who was the best pitcher drafted, and in what round? Lee Smith - 2 Yes, I cheated on all but Goodwin

Naughty, naughty Steve. But correct on all counts. This was a really lousy draft, hardly anyone good in the first round, and besides Dawson and Smith mostly role players among the ones that made the majors.
What did they see in Danny Goodwin, anyway? |

He's in a front office somewhere now - no? Or, just was? I thought I read that someone let him go - the Angels? - without a reason why.
