Question Thread Starting

I was just looking at the "50 most current threads" (hererin, "Top 50") in the various NDF forums.

In HBC, I have started 25 of the Top 50.
In APNAC, I have started 28 of the Top 50.
In SIS, I have started 23 of the Top 50.
In BH, I have started 19 of the Top 50.

Any ideas on why more people are not starting threads in these forums? Or, is it that I start too many?

I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

While I didnt do any counting to justify this, my guess is the rate of thread starting is fairly consistent. If you aren't starting a bunch of threads, sweaver steps in. If he doesn't, others do. You've just been the instigator (errr ... initiator) lately.

I think many of us are just kind of coasting right now, at least until the season starts. And while I can't speak for others, I know that at least a couple of us have just been extremely busy lately.

I think more people will contribute as thread starters in the next few weeks.

I think that some of us are good at starting threads and others aren't. You just happen to be very good at it.

When I have time to cruise the news sources, or get an idea, I start a thread or three. Can't speak for anyone else.

Of course, the news is still mostly fluff. That will pick up with time.
