Thumbs up Mets Pitchers Get Lab Treatment

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...ts/7923872.htm

If I were a Mets fan, I would be happy about this.

I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

It's definitely the kind of thing they hired Rick Peterson for.

The interesting thing will be to se what happens when one of the young Mets pitchers breaks down. Will the organization blame Peterson or decide it is just one of those things.

It's always the rat in the maze's fault - never the guy in the white jacket.

This isn't a miracle cure. This is getting a baseline and more data than the Mets ever had on any of their pitchers. I think the list of guys that went is more interesting that what they actually did.

For the Mets sake, every fan should throw a party for the fact that he took Kazmir.

Oh my God - it's a BuzzBuzzard sighting!

Anything that can help the Met rotation, especially the young guys, is a plus. I still think the raw talent is there in guys like Heilman, but they definitely need some tuning.

Looking at the Mets overall ERA this season to date, you have to sing the praises of Peterson. He has done an incredible job with that staff, IMHO.
