Best player: Rogers Hornsby. Hornsby breaks out as the NL's premier player, a status he would hold for most of the decade.

Best pitcher: Pete Alexander, winning the pitching triple crown.

Best manager: Wilbert Robinson. "Uncle Robby" rode a deep pitching staff to a Brooklyn pennant, their second in five years.

Best Hitter: Rogers Hornsby
Had an OPS+ 27 points higher than the next batter. He played a decent 2b and led the league in BA, OBP and SLG%.

Best Pitcher: Pete Alexander
I am now thinking he was underrrated. 27-14 with a 1.68 ERA.
