Default Philadelphia Phillies 2004 Outlook

They didn't win the NL East like they were supposed to in 2003: try, try again.

Players in: Eric Milton, Roberto Hernandez, Tim Worrell, Billy Wagner
Players out: Brandon Duckworth, Turk Wendell, Terry Adams.

Lineup? Maybe...
C: Mike Lieberthal
IF: 1B Jim Thome, 2B Placido Polanco, SS Jimmy Rollins, 3B David Bell
OF: Pat Burrell, Marlon Byrd, Bobby Abreu
Bench: Todd Pratt, Tomas Perez, Chase Utley, Doug Glanville, Ricky Ledee.

Rotation: Vincente Padilla, Randy Wolf, Brett Myers, Milton, Dave Coggin
Bullpen: Wagner, Hernandez, Worrell, Rheal Cormier, Amaury Telemaco.

Do they beat the Braves in 2004?

you can drop Coggin and add Milwood to the top of the rotation.

the rotation is good and has the potential to be very good, but it will be interesting to see which version of their key players show up:
Code:
RCAA 2002 2003 Thome 88 53 Abreu 57 38 Burrell 44 -15 Bell 0 -19 Byrd -2 13 RSAA 2002 2003 Millwood 22 1 Wagner 15 26 Wolf 13 -4 Hernandez 5 -1 Milton -9 4 Cormier -10 22

I was thinking Millwood, but didn't see him on espn.com's roster, which was the source I was using.

I can't see them winning anything with Bowa managing.
