Karl Swanson, the oldest living former major leaguer at 100, throws out the ceremonial first pitch before the Kansas City-Tampa Bay game April 24 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Swanson was helping to commemorate the American League`s 100th birthday.

Geez, don't let the Orioles' pseudo GM Syd Thrift see this...he'll try to sign Swanson! (The Orioles do seem to be partial to old geezers.....)

Ever read "The Game According to Syd"?

Thrift is pretty smart. I think he's just collecting checks and doing paperwork. The the Angelos boys that are screwing with everything.
