Default Sticky Fingers

I am the last position player not to wear a glove in my career. Who am I?

Pinch-runner specialist Herb Washington? or are you talking about the early days of the game when they played bare-handed?

I know Bid McPhee was one of the last and some sources say he was the last position player to not use a glove.

That's not the answer I have, but it could well be right. do you have years on bid (too lazy to look them up myself). Specifically, it may make a difference to note that I am looking for the last position player to 'never' wear a glove. His career ended in the 19th century too.

Bid's career was from 1882-1899. My source is not that clear but implies that he started wearing a glove in 1897 so your source is probably right in that it is someone else.

The answer I have is indeed the ambidextrous third baseman, Jerry Denny.

Denny began in 81, but didn't play in 92, so his 1881-1894 was only 13 years.

i figured something like that could happen, but couldn't be bothered to research players who debuted earlier and missed time...
