Default It's not who you think

Who is the only player to hit more than 75 home runs as a Yankee and as a Red Sox in his career?

UC, I just trolled the SBE and found that 34 Red Sox players have hit 75 or more HR's for that franchise. I then found the 42 players who have hit 75 or more HR's for the Yankees. Then I matched the lists. There is not a lot of cross pollination here. In fact I could find none.

Ruth's 49 HR's as a Red Sox and 600+ as a Yankee was the best I could do.

OK, my first question and I botched it up. I meant to say the only player to have more than 50 career home runs for both teams. Sorry for the confusion. I can't edit my original question now.

And yes Ruth was close but there is one player who had over 50 for each team.

That's the answer I was looking for. Mike had 72 for the Yankees and 73 for the Sox. His approximity to 75 had me momentarily confused. Again I apoligize for messing up the original question.

And some of us botch the answers almost all the time.
