According to several sources, Pat Hentgen will return to the Blue Jays after signing a one-year, $2.2 million deal:
http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/Toront...18/260926.html I know he's not the Cy Young winner he once was, but he's a step up from what the Jays have had on the back end of their rotation for the past few years. |

He was probably just as good as Sidney Ponson last year. Two mill could be a bargain.

Not a terrible risk. There is not much upside though.

That's why I was happy with the signing. If you take a look at the back end of the Jays' rotation last season - for that matter, anyone other than Halladay - it wasn't the most solid group. Hentgen may not be an ace, but I still believe he's a step up, and one that didn't cost a lot. |

If he can give them 180 or so innings, he's worth it.

Yep!
The first pitcher to win a Cy Young in a Jays uniform is coming back to Toronto. I know he didn't do much last year for the O's but I, for one am glad to see him return. I see great things next season with Pat & Roy in the starting line-up.
