I have always wondered about some of the scoreboard marriage/civil union proposals. What if the person that is being proposed to does not see the message on the scoreboard. The proposer has to be be pretty bummed. Those full scoreboards ads can't be cheap. FWIW, I'ver never seen a civil union (or doemstic partner as it is called here in SF) proposal on a socreboard at a baseball game.

I can share that at Yankee Stadium, if you go for the color Diamond Vision screen, it's $75 for the message - and it's first come, first serve - as there's a limited amount of messages they run - - - and they only run them once, at a certain point in the game. So, if you know it's in the 6th inning, you better make sure that the person the message is for doesn't leave their seat. Even bigger bummer, I would imagine, is when the person sees the message and says "no." ![]()
