It makes for remarkable and sincere discourse.

Two points right out of the chute.........

1. Pedro/Clemens, Shadows/4 PM October Start, Ortiz/Soriano spill over from game 3 - - - - I hope this is not a potential Tony C or Ray Chapman in the making............

2. Again, assuming it's not cloudy - - and the sun is bright - - - I could see a play in RF, or maybe 2, having a huge impact in the game, ala' 10/2/78.

Of course I agree with you in hoping no one gets hurt. I don't think anyone will. Neither manager wants their pitcher thrown out of this game. I'd expect that if either side perceives any need for retaliatory action it will be deferred until next season.

I agree, but with Pedro and Clemens out there you never know what's going to happen because you do know that they are going to pitch inside.

I think this one is going to be decided after Pedro and Clemens have left the game.

It's usually the 2nd one that gets tossed - so, you never know - someone could try and sneak in there to be the 1st one to buzz someone - - knowing the silly rule where the one that starts it gets away with it and the one who tries to tit the tat is the one who gets busted.

Either that, or, as each of these guys is not likely to throw a CG, they'll do it on their way out, like Clemens did in TB towards the end of the season - after several Yankees were hit - and he'll blow one up and in to the last batter he expects to face.

I'm getting impatient. There are times like this when I wish life could be like a DVD player/VCR and we could just hit the fast forward button and get to what we want.

Funny, I said to someone on Wednesday morning - - I'm like a little kid, I wish it was 8 PM right now. I can't wait 10 hours for this game to start.

Hang in there Lee, only 26 hours to go.........

unless, of course, you meant you can't wait until the next SOTS? Once I'm home from work that will be posted...........

While I am looking forward to the next SOTS, I was referring to the game.

Default ALCS Game 4

If I was the home plate umpire, this game would have been forfeited to the Redsox.

Any team that hits Enrique Wilson in the leadoff spot is attempting to throw the game. I don't care what his small sample size garbage numbers are off Pedro Martinez. If you hit Wilson in the leadoff spot, your team is too dumb to be allowed to win a game.

It's a good thing I'm not the umpire.

The conduct by members of both clubs in this game has been outrageous. It's disgraceful, it's embarrassing, and it's enough to make me seriously think about giving up on baseball.

People wonder why I don't enjoy Yankees/Sox games. The answer is that they seem to bring out the worst in everyone - players, coaches, fans. I'm just disgusted right now.

I don't want to see what could happen when/if any of these games get out of hand, scoreboard wise.

It's just a matter of time before someone decides they have to lose by getting ejected and someone gets hurt.

I'd contract that Yankees immediately and hold a player dispersal draft for a franchise dumb enough to have on their payroll an old, gum-brained idjut like Zimmer waddle out and think he should take a swing at anyone.

I guess if you're too dumb to do anything else with your life and have enough cronies you can hang on in Major League Baseball and become some lovable icon. Zim, old pal, most of your baseball career has fallen under the category of "Bad Decisions."

It's a good thing I'm not the Pretend Commish.
