Talking 2003 NetShrine @ The Ballpark Photo Contest

OK, the contest - which is really a raffle - in on!

We'll end it as of the last day of the 2003 MLB regular season - and have the raffle at that time. Whoever wins the raffle will receive a $40 Amazon.com Gift Certificate.

We'll need at least 10 entries to have the raffle - anything less, and the deal is off - - but, hopefully, we'll have much more than ten.

Here's how you get into the raffle - - - - have your picture taken at any professional baseball park, this year, wearing some form of "NetShrine Gear" (and, it has to be clear in the photo that it's NetShrine Gear), and post the picture to this thread, and you're in. (If you are having problems posting the picture, send it to me at curator@netshrine.com and I will post it for you.)

Any NetShrine clothing type gear counts - could be a shirt, a cap, carrying a bag, whatever - as long as it says NetShrine on it and you bought it from the NetShrine shop. (Note, for this contest, just bringing a NetShrine mug or cup to a park is not enough. Gotta be a shirt, cap, or something like that.)

Any "pro" park counts - majors, minors, or independents. School stadiums do not count. And, yes, Spring Training games are fine too - again, as long as they are from this year.

Of course, in the picture, we have to be able to clearly tell you are at the park. Something in the background has to cealrly show it's a ballpark. And, the picture has to be done INSIDE THE PARK. (This eliminates someone driving to a park on an off-day, standing outside, and snapping a quick pix.)

One entry - 'tho you can post as many pictures as you want - per NDF member.

If you need to know where to get NetShrine Gear, see: http://www.cafeshops.com/cp/store.aspx?s=netshrine

Now, for the camera shy, we can do one of two things - - - [1] have the photo taken from behind (just make sure we see the "NetShrine.com" on the back of your shirt - - or wear your NetShrine cap backwards); or, [2] just block out your face on the picture - - either live (such as holding a scorecard or beer in front of you) or after the fact (via some form of photo editor - before you post it).

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ON THE CONTEST, please post them here: http://www.netshrine.com/vbulletin2/...&threadid=9143

Please leave this thread for photo posting only. Thanks.

And, please, when you post a picture, please include something about the picture in the post - - even if it's just a "This is me at [insert name of park] last week." Thanks!

Good luck to all playing!

POSTING TIP FOR THE DAY: When composing a post, think about what you would say if the intended recipient was an individual who was actually sitting just two feet in front of you, in person, rather than just some far away and anonymous audience who only can identify you as text on a PC screen - - and then write your post in that manner. It makes for remarkable and sincere discourse.
