All those numbers on Perez makes the Jermaine Dye trade funnier and funnier. Or painful, if you're a Royals fan. The fact that, at one point in the season, the Royals had Perez and Rey Sanchez on their roster certainly says something about the organization.

If the Royals had the opportunity to give up Jermaine Dye in exchange for getting Neifi Perez or giving up Dye in exchange for the Rockies keeping Perez away from them, the latter deal would have been far more advantageous.
