LAST 3 YEARS (SINCE 1999) MAJORS--Barry Bonds, 303 AL--Jason Giambi, 269 NL--Barry Bonds, 303 Bonds's 303 RCAA were the most in the majors since Mickey Mantle's 337, from 1956-58, and were the most in the NL since Rogers Hornsby's 316, from 1923-25. Hornsby was the only player in NL history to have higher 3 year figures than Bonds. It was the 5th time Bonds led the majors (he led 3 times in a row, from 1990-92 to 1992-94, and 1995-97) and the 9th time he led the NL (he led 8 times in a row, from 1989-91 to 1996-98). LAST 4 YEARS (SINCE 1998) MAJORS--Barry Bonds, 381 AL--Jason Giambi, 300 NL--Barry Bonds, 381 Bonds's 381 RCAA were the most in the majors since Mickey Mantle's 393, from 1956-59, and were the most in the NL since Stan Musial's 382, from 1948-51. It was the 5th time Bonds led the majors (he led from 1989-92, 1990-93, 1992-95 and 1993-96) and the 2nd consecutive time and 9th time he led the majors (he led 7 times in a row, from 1989-92 to 1995-98). LAST 5 YEARS (SINCE 1997) MAJORS--Barry Bonds, 460 AL--Jason Giambi, 317 NL--Barry Bonds, 460 Bonds's 460 RCAA were the most in the majors since Mickey Mantle's 478, from 1955-59, and were the most in the NL since Rogers Hornsby's 537, from 1921-25.
