Who was the very best player on a team that lost at least 95 games?
My first choice right off the bat has to be Lefty Carlton on the '72 Phillies. |

hard to pick anyone but Lefty...
Cal Ripken in 91 should be a candidate, but Lefty had an unbelievable season in 72. |

Just throwing out Nate Colbert in '72 for the Padres or Wally Berger for the '35 Braves...for no appearant reason except that I remembered them.
But Chuck Klein of the '30 Phillies - .386 / .436 / .687 - 40 HR, 170 RBI, 158 Runs, 78 RCAA, .723 OWP. |

Not as good as Klein but Ralph Kiner of the 1950 Pirates (57-96) went:
.272/.408/.690 with 47 HR's, 118 RBI's, 112 runs, a .689 OPW and 48 RCAA.
