1) Tigers RF Bobby Higginson was suspended for 2 games, for throwing equipment that hit an umpire last week. He started serving it yesterday.
After 14 RCAA/.813 OPS and 9 RCAA/.762 OPS seasons, Higginson has a .366 SLG, .322 OBA, .688 OPS, -12 RCAA in 126 games. He has a .824 career OPS, compared to his league average of .775, and 119 RCAA in 1217 games. 2) The Phillies activated 3B David Bell from the DL. Bell, who's never had a positive RCAA in his career, is hitting .285 SLG, .298 OBA, .582 OPS, -18 RCAA in 84 games in his first year with the Phillies. He has a .703 career OPS, compared to his league average of .774, and -80 RCAA in 964 games. 3) According to the Chicago Sun Times, the Whitesox will try to re-sign Ps Bartolo Colon and Tom Gordon, who will both be free agents. 4) Royals SS Angel Berroa tied the team's single season record for HBP. Berroa, who also played in 35 games in 2001-02, is hitting .462 SLG, .344 OBA, .806 OPS, -2 RCAA in 153 games as a 23 year old rookie. The new top 10-- Code:

5) The Mets outrighted P Jason Roach to the minors after he cleared waivers. Roach had been removed from the 40 man roster when he was designated for assignment earlier in the month. 6) Rangers OF Laynce Nix has a badly bruised right shin and could miss the rest of the season. Nix has a .440 SLG, .289 OBA, .729 OPS, -5 RCAA in his first 53 career games. 7) Braves CF Andruw Jones was given a routine day off from the lineup, but was used as a pinch hitter. After -7 RCAA/.772 OPS and 25 RCAA/.878 OPS seasons, Jones is hitting .512 SLG, .335 OBA, .847 OPS, 12 RCAA in 152 games. He has a .835 career OPS, compared to his league average of .777, and 80 RCAA in 1133 games.
