It makes for remarkable and sincere discourse.

That sounds a little like Steve Martin's way to make a million dollars and not pay taxes: "First, make a million dollars. Then...."

Actually, the key to Rivera may be getting him BTB - - http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/player...s?statsId=5400

With zero days rest, the league hits .300+ against him. When he has one or two days rest, the league hits .150 against him. That's a big swing.

Torre still does not get it. Rivera pitches yesterday, fine, no problem, clean save. Torre goes to him again, today, on zero rest, and he gets rocked - barely getting the save.

Joe - learn, please. No back-to-back games.

steve, i don't think it's a matter of not getting it. it's just a matter of opportunity. if rivera was to never pitch with zero days rest, he would have pitched in 19 less games this season.
