It makes for remarkable and sincere discourse. |

Well, you have some people rated higher than I would, such as Dick Allen and Vada Pinson. But that's more personal preference.

Thanks James. Lets look at them: Vada Edward Pinson 1958 - 1975 (Cincinnati NL, St. Louis NL, Cleveland AL, California AL, Kansas City AL) 2,757 career hits - 868 for extra bases. 305 SBs. Good range in OF. Didn't walk much. Richard Anthony Allen 1963 - 1977 (Philadelphia NL, St. Louis NL, Los Angeles NL, Chicago AL, Oakland AL) Colorful & sometimes controversial 1B. NL Rookie of the Year '64. AL MVP '72. Had 351 HRs w/1,119 RBI & a career .378 OBA/.534 SLG %. SUPERNALS = Players who performed with greater excellence than that of most others. How does this not fit?

I guess its ranking them in the same group as Brooks Robinson and Sandy Koufax, two players I rate higher than you do. Neither Allen or Pinson are in my Hall of Fame level, which in my mind is about equal to your Apicals and Supernals.

Brooks, because of his somewhat weak, below average bat, got "knocked down" to the Supernals. Sandy was placed here because of his [1] short career as a star, and [2] the slight assist he got from Dodger Stadium.
