Why player do you feel is most likely to be traded before the trading deadline - and why?

Drew, because the Cards think that getting a pitcher will give them a chance. Poor, misguided Cards.

I said Rondell, but I've got a better candidate: Scott Williamson, reportedly to the Yankees.

What about Livan Hernandez? He'll be due to make a lot of $ next year and the Expos won't be able to pay.

Well, the entire Cincy relief corps is now in play so this question may be off center a bit, but I'll guess Giles, mainly because he would improve more teams than the others.

Depending on how much he's owed, maybe he'll be an August trade? I picked Giles, just because I hope he gets to go somewhere. He was my favorite player when he was with Cleveland. |

I think Suppan is gone. He is a semivaluable commodity that will be moved for prospects.

Giles is a my candidate, but the catch apparently is that the team that gets Giles has to take Jason Kendall & his contract. Gammons had Gabe White going to the Yankees yesterday at 6:00, but White could end up on the dl-so Williamson was named as the most likely to go to NY (again by Peter Gammons)

That's why I voted Mondesi - wishful thinking!
