I'm the furthest thing from a gear head there is, but I'm fascinated by these two shows.
What is it that draws people in? Also, which show do you favor? I prefer American Choppers mostly because of the interplay between father and son. Next on my reality TV palate. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Airing tonight on Bravo. Kevin

I don't like Garage, but American Chopper is interesting. I'm not a gearhead either, but it's still enjoyable.
I'm planning on watching Queer Eye tonight. Most of the reviews I've read have been fairly positive, and it should be fun to see what they can do with their project. |

I saw the Chopper guys on Leno the other night. They seemed like fun.

I watch both shows as often as I can find them on. It is hard to say which I like better, but if I were pressed I'd have to say Chopper. The interaction between Paul and Paul Jr. is great and throw in the dimwitted Micheal and the show is often funny without doing it intentionally. Plus the bikes Paul Jr. make are very impressive.
If I had to only choose one channel that I could watch, Discovery would be my channel of choice right now. |

Trading Spaces, of course. Oh, wait... that wasn't a choice.
I'm not a gear-head and just can't watch that stuff for too long (When I was in college, my father adopted one of my housemates as the gear-head son he never had.). |
