The earlier thread on the Uniform Database got me to reminiscing.
What are some of your favorite past uniforms? I have a soft spot for the 1972 White Sox uniform. Those red pin stripes were great. I also like any uniform that uses sleveless tops and colored undershirts. Kevin

Does it have to be a major league uniform? I've always had a soft spot for the Kansas City Monarchs threads.

I may be one of the few that actually liked the Astros "Rainbow" uniforms of the Nolan Ryan era

I really didn't mind the ChiSox "softball" unis - just leave the shorts out of it.
At the time, the orange Orioles, the A's multi-colored mess, the Pirates FAMILEE with the pillbox hat were pretty snazzy, but now...feh. But the blood-red Indians unis of the 70s were so bad they were good!-- |

I have a definite soft spot for the '70s A's and the Fam-a-lee Pirates. The Red Sox '75-'78 uniforms did nothing for me (but I'm always nostalgic about the players who wore them).
And, yeah, PW, I liked the rainbow Astros jersey, too. |

I've said this elsewhere, and believe I am a minority of close to one on the issue, but I like the Padres camo-forms, though I don't think they qualify as retro, per se.

I like the Reds' unis of the Ted Kluszewski/Frank Robinson/Vada Pinson era. And the McDonald's colors for the Padres still crack me up.

My personal favorites are either the Milwaukee road jerseys in the mid-to-late 80s, when they were gray with "Milwaukee" in script, or the powder blue jerseys the Royals had at about the same time....
I don't have a problem with the Padres camouflage jerseys, either, but I wouldn't want to see them every day.

...still think the astros win the trophy, the color scheme with the white shoes looks like something from haight ashbury, not staid texas, though the orioles all orange, the tribe all red[corpuscle day at memorial stadium] and the A's all green[use your imagination] all are hideous, though outside of the yankees and Dodgers, all teams went to that type of softball look.ugh!
