Some stats - we've had 69 "selections" (incl. Chris' missed one) in 38 days. But, it really hasn't been just under 2 picks a day.

Between Mex and I, we've had 10 "double" (or back-to-back) picks - - so, the number is really more like 1.5 picks per day.

Whadda say gang? Any chance we can unofficially pick up the pace - - maybe even get it to 3 or 4 picks a day?

If we continue at our present pace, the draft will not be finished until mid January 2002.

Allowing 2 picks instead of just 1 would pick up the pace. Besides, I would've had Yaz had that been the case.

BTW, no fair plj7 has both Teddy Ballgame & Yaz.

Everybody should definitely shoot religiously for a 24 hour deadline if at all possible. If you can't make up your mind in that time, go out on a limb and take your best try. If everybody tried real hard to do this, there are others who take no time at all, and we'll get done in no time flat.

Default I have had my a pick and b pick and c pick lined up

Most people have been picking relatively fast. I check the board prior to work and 1st thing when I get back home. Some will pick fast and some take their time......not too much we can do about it.

That would be a major rule change - NG.

Default You guys are so sweet!

NOT! The switch hitting catcher that I last picked is not looking so good.......does anyone else have pickers regret? Does anyone elses family tell them it is JUST a game? BTW, I think I like swearing........double fudgicle!!

I've had my eye on Cove for over a week, as well as a few others I won't name (lest you stand on TB's shoulder in peering into my open window).

I see no one's taken Chuck Knoblauch for 2B. Make sure you work quick, since someone else may scrape him up fast.

Bags I wasn't actually considering since I was focusing more on retired players, but between himself, Yaz and Jackie, I had my hands full, so like Meatloaf said, 2 out of 3 ain't bad. I would definitely agree that Buzz chose wisely in Bags.

So I blocked you and you've got Walter Johnson on the mound?.......

In retrospect, perhaps Jackie Robinson could've been left for 2 picks later. It's hard (impossible?) judging who's going to pick who so I think I'd have taken Yaz, then Cove then Jackie.

I'm still crossing my fingers for a few positions but am willing to use current players mixed in with the retired legends.

Default thanks Yogi for admitting you 2nd guess too.

I was starting to feel like the whiney girl. And if Tback is out there lurking in the woods.......no steak pinwheels for you, better luck at Yogi's house.

It was actually just the _order_ of the picks I'd have changed, not the names. If I'd have taken Yaz and Cove on my last two picks, I'd still have Jackie waiting in the wings to be stolen. I'd hated to have lost him seeing that many of the better 2B-men were taken long ago.

I must've been too .

Skippy, I'd forgotten to mention, look how many picks you've gotten in <12 hours.
