Wink The Skipper Steve Thing

Mex asked - figured other may wonder? - so, here's the Skipper Steve Skinny:

Often, I'm the last poster in every forum. So, when someone comes to the page, they see NetShrine at the top, and then NetShrine again something like 9 times as the last poster in every forum.

Even I got sick of seeing the word NetShrine so many times on the main page. It was overkill. - - So, I thought I would go with a new name. Why Skipper Steve?

Well, the name Scuba Steve (from Big Daddy) always made me laugh - for some unknown reason? - and, I find it fun to say:

Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve, Scuba Steve

but, I didn't want to totally rip that off - - plus, I know some like to call me "Net" so I wanted another name that would provide some an opp to come up with something short (like "Skip") - - hence, Skipper Steve.

Sounds kinda funny to say "Skipper Steve" and it allows the quick type of "Skip" - - and, it avoids having to see NetShrine a million times on one page.

Mystery over.

Yeah, you'll always be Net to me, too. At least you didn't settle on something like "Great Exhalted One". Now that would've been weird.

Maybe you should've gone with "NetShrine Omnipotent One" to counter Buzz's Ominscience.

As for 'skipper', all I can think if now is Skippy, the nerdy next door neighbor from Family Ties.

Step away from the mirror Buzz. Those thoughts will then vanish.

Myself included. I'd first wondered who the heck was this "Steve, Founder & Curator" then realized that this guy's named Steve. Mystery over. At least we can still rag him the same way so now he's just figured out a new way to do what we've loved doing all the time. Another soup in the pot to choose from, I always say.

Hey, Skippy, is that like the peanut butter? If it's Gilligan, can I be the Ol' Perfesser or is that title already taken?
