Default Thunder & Lightning at The Hot Corner

Who are the only 2 3rd basemen to hit 25 HR's, 100 RBI's & steal 25 bases in the same season?

HoJo played some SS during his 30-30 years. I'm not sure how many of his homers/steals were as a 3B, but he probably had some taken away due to his versatility.

Larry & Corey are the only 2, HoJo always played to much SS to make it. I was surprised when I read this stat yesterday, I thought it would have happened before 1999.

In 1989, Hojo played 143 games at 3B - that's not good enough?

Nope.
From what retrosheet.org has me believe, he moved to 3B late in games and Kevin Elster finished some during 1989. As a 3B, Retrosheet only tells him he had 26 HR's. He did also have 37 SB's. Only problem was that he merely drove 79 runs.

How about 1991?

Looking at HoJo's stats, he had these:

Year / Position / GP

1987 / 3B / 140
1987 / SS / 38
1987 / OF / 2

1988 / 3B / 131
1988 / SS / 52

1989 / 3B / 143
1989 / SS / 31

These years, his totals were >162 games. Did he play 3B and SS in some games?

In 1991, Hojo had 104 games at 3B, 30 at RF, 28 at SS. However, Retrosheet does not have splits available per position. I'd assume that he would not have had 30 at one spot, though.
Yogi: Yeah, he easily did. Much like Tom Tresh back in the '60s (starting from when your screen alias started doing it in 1964), Johnson was used for multiple positions...oh...at least once a week. Not as over-frequently like Tresh or maybe a Harmon Killebrew, but moved a lot nonetheless.
