George Lee "Sparky" Anderson
He managed in the major leagues from 1970 to 1995.

Not for me. I'm not much on managers and Anderson fits the classic profile of "he was just as good as his horses".

you mean as a manager, right?
well, i vote yes. you can have some great ballplayers and not win. and you can have a whole lot of lousy ballplayers and win. i disbelieve that a manager, especially back then, got little to no influence |
