10.71 BR/9 ranks 40th amongst pitchers with 2500 IP
2.86 ERA ranks 39th, same criteria
and the 314 RSAA ain't shabby either

Palmer was a stud who certainly benefitted from pitching in front of that marvelous Baltimore defense. An interesting not is that in the 1969 expansion draft the Royals could have selected him (yes, he was available in that draft), but passed on him due to his history of arm problems and selected Wally Bunker, instead.
