That's pretty much what I was going to say. Great job by Millwood! Even if it is a statistical anomaly.

A year ago today, I was in Fenway watching a wonderful statistical anomaly. One of the most exciting games I have ever seen. For a fan, 100 emotions and past events flood your mind in the last inning. What a thrill!

These statiscal anomalies are great for the player, the team, the fans and city. Millwood!

Watched most of it this afternoon. Even after only a few innings, you could tell he had a chance. He was just coasting, and the Giants weren't hitting many balls hard. I got worried when he walked Durham in the ninth, since he seemed at that point to really be overthrowing. Glad he could finish it off.

Good job Millwood. Even if no-hitters are freak things they can be fun to watch. Especially by a guy on both your fantasy teams this year

Nobody enjoys a good statistical anomaly more than me. Kudos to Kevin Millwood. I was afraid he might collapse this year, but he seems to be anchoring that Phillies rotation.

I love to watch these statistical anomalies. I love to watch 4-homer games, players hitting for the cycle, and that no-hitter today. It's just the 2nd one I've seen in person or on the tube. It was really a treat because my son saw his 1st one ever, and I hope he values it as much as I did when I saw Eck throw his no-no in '77 against the Angels.

Anomaly or not, it's one of the greatest things about the game. As you know only 1 or 2 are usually thrown in a year. Millwood just looked like he was totally locked-in. Amazing concentration and focus, as well as pinpoint accuracy. He's better than Atlanta ever thought he was. Great game, great day all around.

Getting Bonds out, each PA, without having to walk him, for an entire game, is probably a more incredible feat than hurling the no-no...............

It makes for remarkable and sincere discourse.

Contrary to what a lot of people might think, I also love statistical anomalies.

But, there is a difference between something being an interesting statistical anomaly and something being overhyped beyond its signifance. And that is where a no hitter falls.

I about fell over when Alou sent Neifi Perez up to pinch hit in the ninth. I know he was hitting for the pitcher, bu geez.

Millwood probably would have wanted to shoot himself if he lost the no-hitter to someone like Perez. Maybe Alou was conceding or something.
