Lightbulb Help Us & Be A Good Fan Too

Just an idea - - -

you know you can get NetShrine Merchandise @

http://www.cafepress.com/cp/store/st...reid=netshrine

But, did you know that cafepress offers the ability to buy an item, and have it shipped to another person with a gift note?

Tis' true. I've done it at least six times already - - it's easy.

Would it not be cool for you, and good for this site, if you sent your favorite baseball player (majors or minors) a NetShrine Shirt - or sent your favorite front office or media person a NetShrine Mug?

Players live for the free shirt. Even if they just wear it for workouts. Imagine if, after you sent your favorite player a NetShrine Shirt, he went on a wildly good streak. Being the way players are, he'd probably want to keep wearing the shirt under his uni until the streak was over.

You would not get a kick out of hearing your player being interviewed about the shirt and saying something like "I got this in the mail from a great fan named [your name] and I'm not taking it off while I'm on this hot streak"?

You don't need the players home address to get this done - - send it to them c/o their team - - like Roberto Alomar c/o NY Mets, etc. or Mike Sweeney c/o KC Royals............

Same thing with the execs or media folk. Send Harold Reynolds a mug c/o ESPN at...............get it?

Anyone willing to do something nice for this site and their favorite baseball person?

I will say this - now that I've thought of the the idea, I will be sending out some shirts, etc. as I can. Try it - could be a lot of fun!

Just thought of this - - good to remember!

Most players today are big men - - over 6' and 200 lbs. If you send them a shirt, make it one that will fit.

Nothing worse than getting a free shirt that's too small...............

Just made arrangements to have shirts sent to Rich Aurilia, Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter.

Now, don't you want to be nice to your fav player too?

A very special thanks to member TGwynn19!

Trevor just made arrangements to have a NetShrine Mug sent to Rob Neyer of ESPN.com - thus supporting and promoting our site in one action.

Thanks T! It's guys like you that will make this a better forum and will help ensure that it sticks around!

Send a message via AIM to TGwynn19

It cost less than 20 bucks total to send and $20 is a small price to pay to help a site the quality of Netshrine.

Posting to
a. Push up this thread, and
b. ask all to make a post here only if they have sent a NetShrine item to a player or person and request that you say "who" here.

I was just asked by a member if someone was sent something, because they want to send something (but don't want to dupe the person, if something has already been sent).

Anyone?
