LAST 3 YEARS (SINCE 1999) MAJORS--Todd Helton, 287 AL--Carlos Delgado, 253 NL--Todd Helton, 287 Helton Coorsed his way to a NL record, breaking the old mark of 285, by Chuck Klein, who Baker Bowled his way to his record from 1930-32, and was 2nd in MLB history to Babe Ruth's 293, in 1919-21. By doubling Helton's road numbers, he would have only ranked tied for 6th over the past 3 years. It was the 2nd consecutive time Delgado led the AL. LAST 4 YEARS (SINCE 1998) MAJORS--Sammy Sosa, 367 AL--Carlos Delgado, 335 NL--Sammy Sosa, 367 Sosa's 367 EBH were the most in the majors since Hank Greenberg's 369, from 1937-40 (Albert Belle also had 367, from 1995-98), and was 2nd in NL history, behind Chuck Klein's 379, from 1929-32. It was the 2nd consecutive time Delgado led the AL. It was the 2nd consecutive time Sosa led the NL. LAST 5 YEARS (SINCE 1997) MAJORS--Sammy Sosa, 438 AL--Carlos Delgado, 410 NL--Sammy Sosa, 438 Sosa's 438 EBH were 2nd in NL history, behind Chuck Klein's 458, from 1929-33.
