1) The Cardinals activated RF J.D. Drew, OF-C Eli Marrero and C Joe Girardi from the DL.

After 47 RCAA/1.027 OPS and 10 RCAA/.778 OPS seasons, Drew is hitting .502 SLG, .349 OBA, .851 OPS, 8 RCAA in 79 games. He has a .871 career OPS, compared to his league average of .781, and 90 RCAA in 576 games.

After -4 RCAA/.751 OPS and 7 RCAA/.777 OPS seasons, Marrero is hitting .382 SLG, .289 OBA, .671 OPS, -3 RCAA in 25 games. He has a .690 career OPS, compared to his league average of .777, and -52 RCAA in 509 games.

1) The Diamondbacks activated 1B Mark Grace from the DL, called up 1B Lyle Overbay and Ps John Patterson, Dennys Reyes, Eddie Oropesa, Edgar Gonzalez and Chris Capuano and moved P Mike Koplove from the 15 to the 60 day DL.

After 17 RCAA/.852 OPS and -4 RCAA/.736 OPS seasons, Grace is hitting .298 SLG, .275 OBA, .573 OPS, -14 RCAA in 58 games in what could be his final year. He has a .825 career OPS, compared to his league average of .750, and 273 RCAA in 2237 games.

Overbay, who also played in 12 games in 2001-02, is hitting .405 SLG, .365 OBA, .770 OPS, -6 RCAA in his first 73 games.

Patterson has a 5.35 ERA/-5 RSAA in 15 career games, including a 6.91 ERA/-9 RSAA in 8 starts in 2003.

After 4.92 ERA/-4 RSAA and 5.33 ERA/-3 RSAA seasons, Reyes had a 10.45 ERA/-7 RSAA in 12 games with the Pirates. He has a 4.73 career ERA, compared to his league average of 4.37, and -11 RSAA in 265 games.

2) Dodgers C Paul Lo Duca had to leave yesterday's game, due to a sprained jaw. X-rays were negative and he's day to day.

After 31 RCAA/.917 OPS and -2 RCAA/.731 OPS seasons in his first 2 years as a starter, Lo Duca is hitting .395 SLG, .346 OBA, .741 OPS, -7 RCAA in his first 127 games. He has a .777 career OPS, compared to his league average of .773, and 10 RCAA in 477 games.

3) The Dodgers called up 2B Joe Thurston, C Koyie Hill and P Masao Kida and will call up OF Chad Hermansen today.

Thurston had a .967 OPS/1 RCAA in 8 games as a September callup in 2002.

Kida has a 6.46 ERA/-12 RSAA in 52 career games, including a 3.60 ERA/0 RSAA in 1 start in 2003.

6) The Redsox called up C Bill Haselman and P Casey Fossum, activated P Brandon Lyon from the DL, designated minor league P Andy Shibilo for assignment and will call up P Todd Jones today.

9) Expos 2B Jose Vidro missed yesterday's game, due to a sore knee, and is day to day.
