Back at ya. My sister lives in Braintree and is a big Sox fan. I only wish the Angels had such a loyal and ardent group of fans. If this series was in Anaheim, there would be as many Sox fans there as Angel fans.

Well, Trev, Washburn does pitch tonight in the series opener against the Red Sox (and Pedro), so by discussing the series in general, we were discussing Washburn intrinsically.
Not buying that? Wait...I got another excuse for wandering off topic right here...c'mon...please?! ![]() Washburn has had a heckova season. He is a playoff appearance (and win) from being a legit #1 starter in my mind. It's too bad he's gonna lose tonight!!! (hahahahahahahha!!!) ![]() |

Man, that's some cold blooded sparring goin on. We need an intervention.
Washburn goes 6 tonite in an Angel win. Hold to Webber. Save Percy. 2-1 Angels |

Or, Pedro drills Eckstein, Washburn drills the Sox lead-off hitter, a brawl ensues and Shoenweis and Castillo battle it out from there.

Gee, spit, if I didn't know better, I'd be callin you a homer. ![]() Washburn gets blown up early, Pedro K's 10, and the Sox roll to victory. Or that's what MY crystal ball tells me. |

What makes you think that ? By the way, the Angels called up Mickey Callaway to pitch on Sunday. So yeah, Schoeny will be in the pen to mop up the carnage. |

Well, it was a heck of a series, and Manny was on fire last night, but I could've done without staying up till 4.15 am UK time listening to the Angels blow a 4 run ninth inning lead, and my neighbours probably didn't enjoy the experience of being woken by a demented partially clothed maniac destroying most of his home.
The omens weren't good, 2 days ago i saw a statistic somewhere saying the the angels were 129-1 when leading after eight, whereupon i shouted SHUT UP, SHUT UP to the paper, and also when the angels couldnt be bothered to provide live radio coverage of last nights game, and I had to listen to the (admittedly reasoned and fair) BoSox announcers. I don't want balance, I want blatant, rampant, undiluted homerism.

I missed the radio coverage. I bought this game for the bobble head. Walked away with one of the best games of the year. Seen the rebroadcast 2x ............I love NESN!!!........what a game. I think the Bosox announcers are balanced, but it is nice to hear somone else say it. I hope we meet up with the Angels again later in the season. Nice game guys. You have a great team and deserve all the props coming your way!

Hey, shouldn't we either get back on discussing Washburn, in particular, or kill it?
