Louis Rodman "Sweet Lou" Whitaker
He played in the major leagues from 1977 to 1995.

consistenly played well above average
while he wasn't an outstanding player for the most part, he was very good for a long period of time that's enough to earn a yes from me |

Whitaker is simply outstanding. Ranks 11th in career RCAA for a 2B. Has a WARP3 of 123, which is HoF country.

I watched him play a lot in the late 70s and in the 80s, and I cannot for the life of me ever remember thinking, wow this guy is really good, a NetShriner if there ever was one.
