He pitched in the major leagues from 1972 to 1994.

I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller! Have you read The Baseball Same Game? |

The Goose was a monster. He has the 2nd most IP's amongst pitchers who started 60 or fewer games. His 160 RSAA ranks 3rd amongst relievers. He averaged 1.8 innings per appearance. He ranks 3rd in wins by a reliefer. He did have some problem giving up HR's to George Brett.

I still remember taking the bus to Boston in 1980 maybe it was 81, sitting in the last row of the center field bleachers and being able to hear the ball pop into the catcher's mitt. The eerie part was since we were so far away there was delay between the ball hitting the mitt and me hearing the noise.
If any reliever is in the hall he should be in there. So yes from me.

You can make a case for him being the best reliever ever.

Grey area, with just 160 RSAA.
Status as overhyped pushes him into the no category.
