I've been going to games since August 8, 1973....and on August 22, 2004, finally, a foul ball came my way. I had to reach for it, and it deflected off the tip of my right index finger. Shoot, if I was only 4 inches taller!

Have you read The Baseball Same Game?

Belle was an absolute monster. Too bad he ended his career on a bum hip.

I wish he'd never left Cleveland, but they always do.

Belle, Ramirez, Thome...... *sigh*

The 50 HR / 50 2B 1995 season was incredible......shortened to 144 games even.

Belle could flat rake. Had monster season after monster season. The guy was some step away from being a sociopath. Only got to play 12 seasons due to a degenerative hip. He's a Netshriner to me.

Psychopath with a short career.

And yet I'm still voting yes.

Uh, his post career arrest as a stalker would indicate that he the "some step" away wasn't really a step at all, but rather a matter of time.

That having been said, this was a no-brainer. From a batting perspective, and considering that his career ended because of injury, he'd have a great case for the HOF if not for the fact that no media-type would ever vote for him because of the conduct issue.

Once again, the "No" votes don't express why.

I suppose if I were one being stalked by Albert, I would vote no, but I don't see any other reason to.
