NHL Star In 80 MPH Crash, Faces Felony and Misdeameanor Charges

I can't be sure whether this should leave me down or leave me angry...
Atlanta Thrashers forward Dany Heatley, who's enough of a rising star that EA Sports put him on the cover on their NHL '04 game, has been charged with two felony and three misdeameanor charges after he crashed his sports car into a wall at about 80 MPH, leaving a teammate who was a passenger in the car in a coma. There's apparently very serious talk of jail time and even incarceration because of this...

This is the point where I make a few statements to segue to the rest of you responding, but nothing comes to mind because everything is irrational. None the less, felt I'd bring it up.
