Default Mo' Joe

Joe Morgan uttered yet another stupid comment last night in his never ending war on intelligence in baseball.

After Ray Durham came out, and Mr. Deadweight himself came into the game, Joe said something to the effect of: "Neifi Perez is a good player. The Giants are lucky to have him...."

The really sad part is, is that Perez made two spectacular defensive plays (one right after Morgan's comment), which forced 2 outs on the Dodgers part. I'm not so sure that Ray Durham would have gotten to those balls. Of course, Perez made several outs of his own.

So, as a result of those plays, people will agree with Joe.

Later on, Joe commented on Felipe Alou's "situation": "Neifi is an everyday player. Its a difficult situation for Felipe. Here's a guy who should be playing everyday, but won't be able to. The Giants are lucky to have him." (again, quoting from memory, not verbatim.)
