Double Digit Phillies
Seasons in a row with:
HOMERUNS >= 10 STOLEN BASES >= 10 DOUBLES >= 10 TRIPLES >= 10 Since 1950, only Juan Samuel (1984-87) and Dick Allen (1965-67) have had streaks of more than 2 years doing this - - both did it as a Phillie. Jimmy Rollins, if he does it this in 2003, will have three years in a row too. Bobby Abreu missed by 4 triples in 1998 in putting together 3 years of it. Why is it that so many Phiilies players do this and so few others hardly even come close?

This is hard to do in general. Not many people get 10+ triples in a season. That is what makes it difficult.

I think it has to do something with the way the Phils scout/draft/sign players - - the fact that they had some many in the last 50 years.
