Lightbulb The truly bizarre....

New thread idea. Name something that makes no sense on your team.

How come Derek Lowe can give you 5 good innings as a starter and tank out 1 inning as a closer? This makes sense HOW?

How can all but one (Piazza) of your offensive players fall off the table in one season?

Why do the Yankees have a hard time scoring when Mussina pitches?

Talking 1.13 era in last 3 starts

who am I? Tonight 76 pitches, 50 were strikes. 2 weeks ago could not throw 10 strikes to close a game. (Lowe on a high!)

Buzz- take heart, save Benitez; make him a starter. You said it, 40+ saves do not grow on trees.

Why do the Yankees keep playing Chuck Knoblauch?

Almost said that! But, like the Big Stein, I was afraid he'd have a big post-season and bit me in the butt.

After a few days of reflection, there is no way I want to see the Mets get rid of Benitez. Part of that conclusion is that there are enough holes to fill for next year and we don't need to add closer to the list. I want the big guy back.

Why do people think Tom Kelly is a genius? Or a good handler of young ballplayers?

Why is this a terrible year to be wanting to sign FA starting pitching? Why are the best option Park @ $20M (if you believe Boros) and Jason Schmidt?

Default I have learned in life ......

as well as baseball, the only thing you can control is your attitude.
That being said, my red soxs failed miserably.

I am going to go with how Bernie Williams gets so little attention.

Lee - I'm a pretty big Williams fan. I actually have two Cracker Jack mini-baseball cards in my day planner - - Bernie and Cal Ripken (of course).

But, I'm a little concerned about Bernie in the 2nd half of this season - - I would have expected more than 8 HRs and a .464 SLG%.

I would expect 15 and .550 from him in half a season.

Question Does anyone ever wonder......

If John Rocker and Carl Everett have Terrets Syndrome?

And if they were team mates and roomed on the road....who would die first? I say we donate Crazy Carl to the Indians and find out

Good idea, and to answer your question...absolutely not. One has to have detectable brain activity to be diagnosed with Tourrets.
