Default 2003 Schedules Available

http://yankees.mlb.com/nyy/download/schedule_2003.pdf

Did anyone else know that the 2003 schedules were out already?

The Red Sox gave us a calendar with next years games on them at the last game of the season. I wish I knew. I would have told you those games. Sorry!

I can't believe the Jays will be playing in Cincinnati - 7 months away, and I already can't wait.

You aren't close to Cleveland or Detroit or Chicago?

Are some of the schedules going to have to be redone because of MLB allowing 20 games of the San Juan Expos ?????

Detroit is the closest of those cities for me, at about 4 hours, while the Great American Ballpark is only 25 minutes from home.

I'll still catch them playing at Comerica sometime during the year, but the Cincinnati visit is so convenient.

You'll have to tell me when you are coming and we'll meet up at the ball park. I've been to Cincinnati a lot but never had a chance to see a ball game there.

Good call. I am not sure what they are going to do. They'll have to try to fit them into the existing schedules somehow.

The Expos schedule isn't listed yet. Others are labeled as Preliminary, so I suppose that any of them could be changed.

The plan is for the Expos to play 3 homestands, 22 games, in San Juan. Surprised there's just one Marlins visit, personally.

I think more confusing is the other bit of scheduling...it's great that Oakland and Seattle are opening the season in Japan...but March 25th!? What the f---umm...insert your favorite four letter word...is Major League baseball starting early like that for? That totally throws off spring training, and unless Selig is going to bring back the 27 to 25 rule for everybody, start the season...not necessarily at the same time as everyone else, but not a week before everyone else, damn it...

Hmm...I just had a devious thought. If Frank Robinson is correct in his team being a playoff team (and they better be because I have yet to see them in the postseason in my lifetime), where do you play the postseason games?

I heard that at the Big O you can actually dicker with them over the prices.

When will those A's-Mariners games be broadcast back to the West Coast? 4 in the morning?

I agree with LeGrandOrange about March 25th--it might as well be extended spring training.

I buy the best seats in the house and pay full price. Works out to be about $25 US. They always try to sell me cheaper seats but I can't afford the best seats in Fenway. I want my husband and daughter to sit in the best. I want them to feel special. Imagine.....sitting in the best seats in the house.....almost being able to touch the man on the on deck circle.....having Ozzie Guien give you a ball and wink.....seeing the pitchers warm up......hearing the pop of the ball in the mitt.........having Youpi hang out with your family! This is priceless.

The one time the Sox played up in Montreal.....they had 18,000 walk up ticket sales. If the Yanks and Sox played regularly up there.....they would out draw the Sox and maybe the Yanks in 10 years.......but I guess we will never know.

I was just looking at the Yankee schedule - - 11 of 81 home games this year are weekday day games. That's about 14%.

That's probably about $3 million (min) in lost revenue there - - being day games rather than night.

Do you know how many Denny Neagle starts for the Mets three mill can buy?
