He may wind up in the bench, but (as expected) MJ has announced he'll be back and fulfill the second year of his contract with the wizards.

Heck, why not. He's the rare case that can still be one of the best at his age. IF he wants to keep playing, he's welcome to it.

The drama over "Jordan, will he play?" got old for me years ago. He had the chance to walk away with the perfect ending but he still had a grudge to settle.

He's the most legendary 6th man in the game today.

I don't like the decision. It only further soils a legendary career.

Feh on Jordan. It interferes with watching the NHL and college hoops.

I think you are taking this too seriously Smed - feel free to watch the NHL and college hoops - I suspect plenty of both will be available this year for your viewing enjoyment

I wish he would just stay retired, because the last thing I want is more Wizards games on TV.

Just like last year, he won't make it through the season and every Sportcenter for 3 months will be led off with his status report. Somewhere out there, Dan Patrick is sporting wood.

Wake me if Clyde the Glide makes a comeback, especially with the Blazers.

I still can't believe they traded their best young player in Richard Hamilton for Jerry Stackhouse. I know Stackhouse is an All-Star player, but are there going to be enough shots to share between him and Michael?
I will say that the Wizards' lineup of Stack, Larry Hughes, Bryon Russell and Jahidi White, with MJ coming off the bench, actually doesn't look nearly as bad as in past years. If they had a good power forward, they might actually qualify as an upper-level team (at least in the East). |

I don't mind Jordan playing, although he's not going to dominate anymore like he used to, but I'm not looking forward to ESPN leading off every show with a Jordan report (zzzzzzzzzzzz.....) or seeing the Wizards in every other game on TV. Wait, I never watch NBA games anymore, that doesn't matter.....

Laugh of the day.I dont care that Michael came back; it doesnt diminish him or his stature - but it doesn't make me any more of a fan of the NBA or the Wizards either. |
