Default Opening Day Problems

Who is the only manager to quit after Opening Day?

Also, who once wouldn't play on Opening Day since his eyelid was stuck shut?

The way I remember the story is Brown claimed he couldn't play because he couldn't sleep the night before, since he had a defect in his eyelids and they wouldn't close.

I didn't think it was opening day for Brown's excuse.

Jose Cardenal had an eyelid stuck open, I thought.

Sorry about the 2 questions, but since they were closely related, I didn't want to take up any extra space on the forum-board

Sawyer is correct for the manager, and it was with the 1960 Phillies.

Jose Cardenal is the eyelid-guy. He said he slept on his eye wrong and that it wouldn't open in 1974.
