Default NetShrine Cooperstown Ballot, Part II, Infielders

Please vote here for infielders: (C, 1b, 2b, 3b, SS)

Note: Please only vote for 10 total among all the polls, in accordance with the rules BBWAA operates under.

I disagreed with those who voted before me. Interesting!

Right now, only Carter, Ozzie, Blyleven and Goose would be elected in this little poll.

I'll take Goose, Ozzie and Carter. If Mex gets in, so does Donny Baseball a year earlier, but I'm very biased on this one.

GB, silly ?: P & C are part of the IF? I thought they weren't considered position players.

I could only fit 10 in any given poll; I had to divide them up somehow. Carter, the only catcher, is included in the IF. Pitchers aren't; though they could be technically, they're qualitatively distinct.

Well, Blyleven & Goose are the big surprises, because they don't get much support from the BBWAA.

My hunch is that the class this year will be Ozzie and Carter. Rice was ahead of Carter last year, but I think he will lose votes to Dawson on this year's ballot.

I think that's a fair assessment. Ozzie is likely, Carter has a good shot, and Rice could sneak in as well. That said, nobody is a slam-dunk, and I wouldn't be shocked to see no one elected.

FYI - If I've done my math right, so far, there have been 17 ballots on this one.

I would have voted for Blyleven, John, and Kaat if I had realized the way the poll was set up to begin with, so feel free to consider an extra vote on their totals.

Going into the announcement of the results tomorrow, we at NetShrine have elected...NOBODY!

I guess we're just a bunch of hard-asses.

I can't believe nobody voted for Tim Wallach - must be because he spent so many years in Montreal.
