Default yankees farm system roster 1980-2003

I have googled and checked MLB.com and baseball-reference.com among others and I cannot find any information on the rosters of the Yankees farm system from 1980-2003. I am trying to do research for my new blog on the history of the Yankees farm system the past 23 years and how their once fertile farm system was the difference maker for their latest dynasty. I am new at doing research, so any help and advice, as well as direction to where to go to get said information is greatly appreciated.

Thank you! Swan.

Buy the Baseball America Draft Almanac that came out this summer.

In this last WS, in those games started by Pettite, there were six players homegrown (Posada, Johnson, Soriano, Jeter and Williams) rising until eight when Rivera and Mariano played. An if you include Lowell, the total rise to ten. The problem with the Yankees farm system is if they currently wants to give the chance to play everyday to their young players, as Rivera for example. Lowell was traded because they had Brosius in that time although this last one was in his late years.

See Manny, what I want to do is see if there a definite correlation between the Yankees current success (since 94), and George not being allowed to manhandle the team in the early 90's do to his suspension.

I don't know if I'd consider Soriano to be homegrown. He wasn't drafted, rather he "retired" in Japan and signed as a free agent with New York in 1998.

I don't think he ever played in the "majors" in Japan - or, if he did, it was a few games at most.

So, basically, he was a kid from the DR who signed as a NDFA.

Bernie Williams was a kid from PR that signed as a NDFA, would that make him not homegrown too?
