No-hit wonders

Who was the shortstop in each of Nolan Ryan's first three no-hitters?

Skipper Steve 12-08-2001 01:07 PM

Fregosi?

Yogi#8Fan 12-08-2001 05:19 PM

I heard that Nolan threw his first 4 with the Angels, so I figure it was David Chalk.

sweaver 12-08-2001 07:06 PM

Sorry, both wrong. Remember, Ryan was traded for Fregosi.

It's gotta be Rudy Meoli, since Rance Mulliniks played 3 years there, but after Rudy.

I am a freakin' moron. :o Total lack of brain on that guess - - - might as well asked a chimp for some help - - - "pick up my own fecal matter and throw it" would have been a more intelligent answer. Damn.

We have a winner! The immortal Rudy Meoli.

Great! Which dates were the no-hitters? After some site said he'd thrown his first 3 w/Angels, I figured it had to be one of those. Looking at his b-r.com stats, Chalk appeared more times but Meoli was earlier. I figured it had to be him.

I know nothing about Rudy though. What's immortal about him?

Yog, it's called sarcasm.

OK, now, someone explain why I always get Rudy mixed up with "Don't Drive With" Mike Miley? Must be the last names.

In that case, I need a new sense of humor. At least I've finally done something decent in this section, my first.
